The Department of Biochemistry was instituted in 1996.
Over the last few years, students have been placed in the following organizations through the Placement Cell of the College
The Department has well equipped sophisticated laboratories for Biochemistry and Molecular biology, with all the necessary facilities to keep pace with the developing research field.
A Bridge Course is offered to the 1 year Undergraduate students to introduce the course. The syllabus pattern, core subjects, electives and soft skills are explained to the students. Facilities available on campus for curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are introduced to the students. Details regarding career opportunities after graduation, competitive exam training and placement opportunities are explained.
A certificate course on Computational Biology for a duration of 30 hours is offered in the 3rd semester
