INCEPTION

The Post Graduate Department of Information Technology was instituted in the year 2001.

OBJECTIVE

• The objective of the Information Technology course is to produce competent manpower of international standard, trained and educated in information technology to perform efficiently in relevant fields.
• Information technology will not be limited to computer science only, rather mobile phones, radio, television data collection and processing of information are also to be included and emphasis will be given on its multi-angular necessity.

FACILITIES

A selection of books in the Department library is available for faculty and students.

Two well equipped computer laboratories with sufficient number of systems with LAN facilities, internet connectivity and printer. Required softwares has been installed.

• National Seminar on “Technolinearity-The Path Growth '' was organized on 23-09-2022. The resource persons were Dr. VaidehiVijayakumar, Vice-Chancellor, Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal
• NationalWorkshop on “Web Designing” on 29-10-2022.The resource person was Mr E D Sathish Kumar, Associate,Academic Head,Image Creative Education,Chennai.

GUEST LECTURES

A guest lecture on “Data Science” was held on 26-07-2022 through online mode. The resource person was Jinie Angel, Human Resource Specialist from LBK Project Management Service, Dubai.
