INCEPTION
The Department of Computer Science was instituted in the year 1996.
OBJECTIVE
· The knowledge and skills gained with this degree will prepare graduates for a broad range of jobs in every sector.
· The course will shape the students to work at the cutting-edge of computer science, networks or security, to help shape tomorrow’s world of digital living and equips them for a career that’s entirely future-proof

Our students have been placed in the following organizations through the Placement Cell of the College.
FACILITIES
Books in the Department library is available for faculty and students.
Two well equipped computer laboratories with sufficient number of systems with LAN facilities, internet connectivity and printer. Required softwares have been installed.
BRIDGE COURSE
The main objective of the course is to bridge the gap between the subjects studied at school and the subjects they would be studying during the graduate courses Bridge course is a short intensive course offered for the students to provide knowledge about the degree program and to integrate basic skills. The various facilities, curricular, co-curricular and extra -curricular activities offered in the college will also be introduced
CERTIFICATE COURSE
A certificate course on Web Designing for a duration of 30 hours is conducted in the 3rd semester.

· National Seminar on “Technolinearity-The Path Growth” was organized on 23-09-2022. The resource persons were Dr. VaidehiVijayakumar, Vice-Chancellor, Mother Theresa Womens University, Kodaikanal
· NationalWorkshop on “"Webdesigning"” on 29-10-2022.The resource person was Mr Ed Sathish Kumar.

A guest lecture on “DataScience” was held on 26-07-2022. The resource person was Jinie Angel.
